Memphis Black Expo & Empowerent Conference: A Cultural Celebration Event. The goal of the Memphis Black Expo is to serve as a catalyst to improve conditions in the African-American community by creating a family-oriented environment that celebrates, empowers and cultivates the community including small businesses, nonprofits, community based organizations and corporations. It also celebrates the excellence in arts and entertainment among youth and adults and honors African American Achievers through the “Making Memphis History” award. In addition, it provides an opportunity for education in areas of health and wellness, finance, technology and business development through workshops and interactive displays. Memphis Dance Festival & Kids Expo: Showcases a host of dance genres including but, not limited to: Ballroom, Jazz, African, Salsa, Contemporary, Liturgical, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Majorette, Belly Dance & more. This outdoor Dance Festival serves to enlighten participants of not only the momentous benefits of Dance Education but also, the culture diversity that lies within; thus, enhancing an understanding and appreciation of the world we live in. ~Dancing in the Street!  The Memphis Kids Expo, features non-stop interactive fun and entertainment for kids of all ages, as well as valuable information for parents

Activities include: For the Adults –demonstrations, lots of exhibits, contests and free product samples!

For the Kids – magic shows, costumed character visits, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, face painting, balloon art, bungeezoom, video game tournament, activities and contests!  For Safety’s Sake – FREE child safety ID cards, personal car seat check station, and other children’s safety information. Angels and Tomboys "Girls On Fire" Award Show Tour: This show highlights the awesomeness of girls ages 6-14 that have done something amazing in their home and/or community.
